Move sensitive information from C: drive to One Drive or team SharePoint site
Avoid confidential and sensitive phone conversations
While CTN networks offers a higher degree of protection, all communications are vulnerable to interception
Carefully consider whether the potential damage that could result from an unauthorized disclosure of information
When working on GIL laptop, use a privacy screen or find a secure location
Do not work on any public computer
Do not use the hotel business center for printing or working
Use great caution when connecting Wi-Fi in airports or hotels
Connect with a legitimate Wi-Fi with password provided by the hotel, airport, or airline representative
Don’t fall victim to a "Free Wi-Fi" scam or "Hot-Spot" scam broadcasting from a personal device
Turn on Chevron VPN connection immediately to fully utilize Chevron security controls for internet access and email
Limit sharing of travel plans especially on social media
Keep sensitive electronic information off from the Smartphone
Consult the below IT support group for the guidance of China Cybersecurity Law if the travelers will need to take or export the China data out of the country.

	travel security risk levels	description
	Low	Low levels of non-violent crime may be present in business and tourist districts, hotels or other locations frequented by travelers, but violent crime is infrequent. Terrorist groups have limited operational capabilities or security and emergency services have the capacity to detect or adequately respond to a potential attack. Protests are mostly non-violent and rarely disrupt regular commerce, transportation and business operations. Industrial action and transport disruption are infrequent.
	Elevated	Crime is not pervasive, but non-violent and violent crime could impact visitors. Periodic political unrest, protests, and/or sporadic acts of terrorism occur, but are unlikely to directly impact business travelers. The capacity of security and emergency services and infrastructure varies. Industrial action can disrupt travel.
	High	Crime and terrorism pose significant direct or incidental risks to travelers. Anti-government or anti-western demonstrations may be commonplace or violent and could delay or prevent travel. Parts of the country are inaccessible or off-limits to the traveler.
	Critical	Violent crime and/or terrorism is pervasive and is directed at travelers. Political instability, domestic conflict and/or violent civil unrest pose significant risks. There is a high risk of arbitrary detention. Large parts of the country are inaccessible to foreigners.

	A	Health care infrastructure is well developed, and site is often used as a referral center. It has competent care in English in most or all sub-specialties, including non-clinical adjuncts such as speech therapy, developmental needs, etc. Endemic diseases are well controlled or not significant. Chevron maintains or has ready access to health care resources. Business travelers should strongly consider consulting with Global Health and Medical prior to travel.
	B	Health care infrastructure is partially/poorly developed and not always available. Advanced care is on an emergency-only basis because of concerns about access, competence, communications in English, medical culture, follow up, hygiene, etc. or care is available for basic needs and sometimes for diagnostics only. Few or no non-clinical adjunctive care resources are present. Endemic diseases may be present with irregular or poor control. Chevron has limited or no internal health support and relies on limited external health care resources or external health resources are unreliable. Business travelers should strongly consider consulting with Global Health and Medical prior to travel.
